What is the average wait time?
Wait times vary depending on the time of day and patient volume, but we pride ourselves on being significantly faster than a hospital emergency room. You can often check our current wait times online or by calling ahead.
When should I go to the ER instead of a Walk-In?
Walk-in clinics are for non-emergencies. If you are experiencing chest pain, difficulty breathing, severe allergic reactions, or major trauma, please call 911 or head to the nearest Emergency Department immediately.
Do I need to bring anything with me?
Please bring a valid provincial health card (like OHIP) and a list of any current medications you are taking. If you are seeking a refill, bringing your previous prescription bottle is very helpful.
Is Walk-In Care covered by provincial insurance?
Yes. In most provinces, basic walk-in consultations with a physician are covered by your provincial health plan. Services not covered by provincial plans (like certain travel vaccinations or specific forms) will be discussed with you upfront.
Can I get lab work or X-rays done during my visit?
We perform many rapid tests on-site. For more complex imaging like X-rays or ultrasounds, our doctors will provide you with a requisition to a nearby diagnostic imaging center.
What if I need a follow-up?
If your condition requires ongoing monitoring, we can schedule a follow-up appointment with one of our staff physicians or provide you with the necessary documentation to follow up with your regular doctor.
